So I recently received another rejection letter for The Beckoning Blood, this time from an agent I’d queried. But I’m not moping.
The email was positive, friendly and encouraging. The agent even said they would be interested in seeing my next work so that’s a big tick right there.
The agent also gave some great feedback and outlined what I’ve known since I wrote the book. It’s going to be a hard sell in the traditional space. No matter though. It’s time to get back on the proverbial horse and submit to some more digital publishers.
I’ve spent some time pulling together a list of them and checking their submission guidelines. Next to investigate whether they’re suitable for my book and then to put together the query letters.
A way forward, a path to follow…opportunities await.
Have you considered *not* selling in the traditional sphere? Maybe self publishing is a better option if you can’t find it a home with a trad publisher?
Hey Bec
Yep, I’ve thought about self-publishing but want to try a few more publishers first and see how that goes.
Thanks for the comment.
Daniel
No worries, good luck with it 🙂
