What a singing class taught me about writing
I recently finished a six-week singing performance workshop. Six weeks, two hours a week on a Wednesday evening. Why?

It’s November which means it’s time for NaNoWriMo. After a couple of months not writing much new (I started a prologue but without the rest of the story set in [...]
I was featured in the Romance Writers of Australia “A Day in the Writing Life of…” section today. Read the post here.
On the surface: not a lot. To me contemporary dance is so abstract that, even with the show's notes, I struggle to make much meaning out of what's happening on stage. And in some — very bad — instances, I struggle to stay engaged in any way whatsoever. Even in a 45-minute show. Plenty of us refer to it (and some of us even profess to live by it) but how many of us have actually read it? (And just for the record, I read the Bible. Fascinating stuff. Really.)
I’m getting ready to edit my latest book after a couple of weeks off. Time is passing and it’s starting to niggle at me to crack on and get it [...]
Great news! I’m finished with the 50k in 30 days challenge with plenty of time to spare. OK, I didn’t actually write 50,000 words during the month, however, I did [...]
